Annual Bali Ha'i at The Kampong
Sunday, April 6th, 2008
To Support
The Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden
and
The South Florida Chapter of The American Institute
of Wine and Food
Imagine a Sunday afternoon in one of Miami’s
most beautiful and
secret gardens. Soft music is playing as 500 people
feast on the
gourmet offerings of some of Miami’s finest chefs
and beverage
vendors. There is an auction devoted to wonderful and
exotic
items. This scene describes Bali Ha'i at The Kampong.
Bali Ha'i at The Kampong raises funds to maintain
and
expand The Kampong’s botanical living collection
and
provides scholarships to some of the finest culinary
institutes for students who would not have this
opportunity otherwise.
Guests come from all around south Florida, but the
neighborhoods
of Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and South Miami are most
strongly
represented. Because of its reputation and popularity,
Bali Ha'i tickets are coveted.
Bali Ha'i patrons are wine and gourmet enthusiasts,
wine collectors,
patrons of arts and cultural institutions and advocates
of
South Florida’s unique cultural and environmental
heritage.
