About Us

The Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden and the South Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Wine and Food, in support of these non-profit organizations, once again invites you to participate in this magical event at The Kampong. Once you pass through the main entrance of this tropical oasis you will soon realize the splendor it holds for the most exclusive garden party event of the year. No it is not a dream it is the reality of Bali Ha’i at the Kampong and we ask you to be part of this amazing event.

Celebrating our 16th year as co-founders of Bali Ha’i, The Kampong and The American Institute of Wine and Food will delight you with a beautiful garden party, featuring tantalizing cuisine from many of Miami’s finest chefs and the most distinctive selection of wines and beverages Miami has to offer. Since its creation, Bali Ha’i has been sold out each year, bringing lovers of food, wine and the gardens together for an unforgettable afternoon.

Bali Ha’i at The Kampong raises funds to maintain and expand The Kampong’s diverse botanical living collection. The Kampong represents one of South Florida’s most unique venues for scientific study, community events, educational programming and conferences. It holds a fascinating assemblage of ornamental, economic and medicinal plants, including rare and unusual varieties of fruit, flowering trees, and plants from the tropics of Africa, South America, and South East Asia. The Kampong plus four gardens in Hawaii comprise the National Tropical Botanical Garden.

Bali Ha’i also raises funds to further achieve the goals of the American Institute of Wine and Food. Through the celebration and education of wine and food we raise money for educational and nutrition based programs. We offer continuing education culinary arts scholarships to many of the top school’s in the nation. We also support a nutrition based program called Days of Taste that teaches elementary school students the importance of eating well by experiencing hands-on and interactive field trips.
