AIWF Co-founder Julia Child - August
15, 1912 - August 13, 2004
Throughout our 24 years, Julia Child has been an active
participant, the mother of The AIWF, a guiding light,
a philosopher, a grand visionary, our best teacher,
and a source of inspiration to our leaders and members.
She will remain in our hearts and minds both as we cook,
and as we share the pleasures of food and wine around
our tables. We celebrate her life,
and the joy and knowledge she brought to all of us.
Who We Are
In 1981 Julia Child, Robert Mondavi, Richard Graff,
and others founded
The American Institute of Wine & Food, a non-profit
educational
organization devoted to improving the appreciation,
understanding, and accessibility of food and drink.
Our Values
These shared beliefs are the principles we hold most
dear
and which energize our action.
